Demand real protection for the Vjosa Wild River National Park

The Vjosa needs you

Two years ago, Albania declared the Vjosa Europe’s first wild river national park. It was a huge win for wild nature and set an international example for river protection in Europe and beyond. But this pristine wilderness is still under threat from pollution, mining, water abstraction and chemical spills reported in and around the park.

The Vjosa is one of the last and largest free-flowing rivers in Europe. This waterway runs untamed from source to sea, supporting countless habitats and livelihoods that have been tied to it for thousands of years.

National Park status should safeguard the Vjosa. Ask the Albanian government to uphold their commitment to this wild place, and ensure the Vjosa Wild River National Park is protected today, tomorrow, and forever.

TAKE ACTION NOW.
